Q 1 and 2:
Was the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) awake or asleep during the Isra' (Night Journey) and Mi`raj (Ascension to Heaven) and did he actually see Allah (Exalted be He)?

According to Shar`y (Islamic legal) evidence, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was awake during both the Isra' and Mi`raj. He (peace be upon him) did not actually see his Lord with the eyes, which is the opinion maintained by the Jumhur (dominant majority) of
Ahl-ul-Sunnah wal-Jama`ah (adherents to the Sunnah and the Muslim mainstream).May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
